Sweet Reunion®️ is a true bricks and mortar old fashioned corner sweet shop located in Gorton Manchester. A shop of this type was typical of the good old days and is a delight to customers of today who are wowed by the atmosphere created by the beautiful solid teak wooden display cabinets displaying over 250 jars of traditional sweets.
A step inside is a step back in time but with a unique difference.
Sweet Reunion®️ offers you 'service with a smile' or if you prefer you can enjoy the freedom of choosing any combination of your favourite sweets, weighing them yourself on vintage sweet shop scales at the self service counter, then handing over your scale pan containing your selection to be 'legally' weighed and bagged whilst you calm the 'inner kid' after finally being let loose to ‘pick and play’ in a sweet shop!
Hand sanitiser and gloves are provided and MUST be used to participate in this truely Unique Sweet Shop Experience.
A wide variety of Original, Sugar free / diabetic, Gluten free, Halal & Vegetarian sweets are available from £1 per 100g.

The above statements along with the business ethics and principles mentioned below were given as my response to a business mentor when asked for a mission statement whilst preparing my business plan.... the response from my mentor was:
" That's all very admirable but the reality of operating a business will see those statements and principles of yours evaporate along with ANY profit you manage to generate and in turn your business too. The volume of sweets you'd need to sell is too high and the profit margins too low to become a sustainable business"

As an independent retailer my passion and determination to bring the Best Quality Traditional British Sweets to all sweet lovers at non inflated prices has been fulfilled.
Opening my doors for the 1st time on 25/06/2013 much to the annoyance of competitors but to the delight of the many extremely happy satisfied customers and myself.
Knowing my hard work to make the dream a reality is so gratefully received and appreciated by customers young and old is reward in itself.
Financial gain doesn't drive me but happy customers do : )
With value for money to the customer being my primary motivation (as opposed to greed ) i work on low profit margins and have continued to provide high quality products and service ( verified by customer reviews and feedback ) trading successfully for almost 6 years despite fierce competition from local supermarkets and bargain stores.
With the increasing number of casual sweet sellers, hobby and 2nd income sweet sellers and online sellers who avoid taxes and overheads, maintaining these principles has been a challenge at times but i hope you'll agree they've served the existing customers well and their continued support of this business makes it all worthwhile and continues to drive me.
